E-Bike Tours in Morocco: Ride the Atlas and the Sahara With Electric Assist
Want to ride over the Atlas and out to the Sahara, but not sure your legs are ready for the climbs? An e-bike tour in Morocco lets you enjoy the same routes as everyone else, at your own pace. It is also the easiest way for couples and groups with different fitness levels to ride together. Here is how it works on our tours.
Quick answer: Yes, you can join three of our 8-day bike tours from Marrakech on an e-bike: the Atlas to Sahara cycling tour and our two hike and bike tours. You can rent an e-bike through us or bring your own. A 4×4 support vehicle stays with the group every day. The best seasons are spring and autumn.

Who Is an E-Bike Tour For?
- Mixed groups: a partner or friend who rides more than you can keep the same pace.
- Riders who want to enjoy the views: the Atlas climbs are long, and the assist leaves more energy for the scenery and the villages.
- Riders coming back after a break or who simply ride less often.
- Hike and bike travellers: after a trek, the e-bike makes the riding days easy on tired legs.
Which Tours Can You Do on an E-Bike?
| Tour | Duration | Riding | Level | From |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Atlas Mountains & Sahara | 8 days | 6 days | Moderate | 1,100 € |
| Hike & Bike: Happy Valley, Lake & Waterfall | 8 days | 3 days (+ 2 hiking) | Easy to moderate | 1,050 € |
| Hike & Bike: Toubkal & Agafay | 8 days | 2 days (+ 3 trekking) | Challenging trek, moderate riding | 1,050 € |
On the Atlas to Sahara tour you ride six days past Ait Ben Haddou, through the palm groves of the Draa Valley and out to the Chegaga dunes, mostly on quiet back roads and desert tracks. The Happy Valley hike and bike tour is the gentlest option: two days of walking, then three days of riding through the M’Goun Geopark to Bin El Ouidane lake and the Ouzoud waterfalls. Want something else? We can also plan a private e-bike tour on your dates.
Renting an E-Bike
You can rent an e-bike through us or bring your own. Bike hire is not included in the tour price, so tell us when you book and we will reserve the right size for you. The 4×4 support vehicle stays with the group every day and carries the luggage, so you ride with just a small bag.
Best Time for an E-Bike Tour
Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the most comfortable seasons. Our Atlas to Sahara tour runs from March to December, and the hike and bike tours from March to November. See our month-by-month guide for details.
