TOUBKAL ASCENT & ESSAOUIRA CITY 4167 M – 13,671 FT

Arrive in Marrakech, Morocco’s famous Red city. Look for the Morocco Dynamic
Adventure sign at Menara Airport for your transfer to the hotel. The adventure begins
tonight. Feel free to explore Marrakech before your welcome meeting. After
introductions, your CEO will review the details of your tour.

After breakfast in the hotel, we drive for 1.5 hours to the village of Imlil (1750m). Meet
your porters and their mules, then begin your trekking adventure with a gradual
ascent on a mule path to the sacred pilgrimage spot of Sidi Chamharouch (2300m).
After a picnic by the shrine, continue to Toubkal base-camp (3207m). The hike takes
5.5 hours. Overnight in the refuge or camping if preferred from May to end of
October.

Summit day! Early morning climb to Toubkal summit (4167m), the highest peak in
North Africa. The departure will be around 2:30 AM to ensure the best views. The
hike from the camp to the top takes approximately 3.5 hours. After enjoying the
views, head down to the camp for lunch before continuing to Armed village to
overnight.

Take a short walk back to Imlil, then take a bus to the Atlantic Ocean and Essaouira
city. This peaceful seaside town has a UNESCO World Heritage-listed medina.
Previously known as Mogador, the city is a beautiful example of an 18th-century
fortified maritime citadel and is a popular artists’ town with many cultural influences.

Explore Essaouira, a peaceful seaside town with a UNESCO World Heritage-listed
medina. Photograph the impressive town fortifications combining Portuguese and
Berber architecture. Explore the souks, carpentry workshops, art galleries, and the
fortified harbor with its stalls of freshly caught grilled fish. Walk and relax on the
beach before returning to Marrakech.

Drive to Marrakech, the southern capital of Morocco and the country's ‘Pearl of the
South.' Start your city tour with your local guide, exploring Jamea El Fna square, the
iconic heart of Marrakech. Visit the famous 12th-century Koutoubia Mosque and its
influential minaret. Visit the 19th-century Bahia palace, then take a traditional lunch
and stroll in the local souks. In the afternoon, enjoy free time to wander the city.
