We say good bay to the hustle and bustle of the big cities, drive to the foothills of the central High Atlas Mountains, our destination is the fertile and green Happy Valley, through the natural bridge of Imi-N-Ifri, a stone structure created by the water that flows underneath.
Contemplate the slow but persistent force of nature in the formation of this fully factional limestone bridge, we break up our day trip after the short walk over the bridge for a Picnic lunch, take the left fork of the road from the bridge and head up to the hidden valley of Bougmaz, which is the starting point of our adventure, after having a glass of Mint tea with our team of porters and their mules we start our hike along the gorge of Arous and up to the pastures of Azib-N-Ikiss 2250m , we spend the night in tents.

The bags go on the mules, and the journey begins with a steady climb up to the Aghouri Pass 3400m (3 hours), from the pass we have a magnificent view of the M’goun summit, after a leisurely picnic we slowly descend the path of nomads to plateau Tarkdit 2900m, overnight in tent.

Climb Jbel M’goun 4071m, the second highest peak in North Africa, the ascent is not technical but the trail is steep, this will be a long day of rugged Mountain hiking, and on the top you have an unforgettable view over the Mountains of the High Atlas, the Anti-Atlas and the rose Valley, the descent will take us to Oulilimt Valley where we camp for the night
NT: If you do not wish to climb to the summit, you may accompany our muleteers to the next camp, the hike is not difficult, it takes about 5 to 6 hours long.

We start our morning with a descent to Tighramt, below the M’goun Mountain we hike today for an easy 5 hours along the Oulilimt Valley, wild landscape until we reach Ain Aflafal, picnic by the river than towards the end of the hike, overnight in tent in Tighramt N Ait Hemd.

We hike back to the Happy Valley via the Ait Immi Pass 2900m, we continue hiking through the Aflafal Valley on our way to Tabant village the centre of Bougmaz Valley, with a 550m ascent to the pass, amazing view over M’goun Rang, picnic in the pass then a 950m descent to Tabant village end of our trekking adventure overnight in guest house.
